Melissa Knollenburg wrote a new play especially for Jori Hermsen Producties, based on the Greek myth of Medea. The stories of the children, the royal family and the friends of Jason and Medea also get a voice in this adaptation.
Directed by Jori Hermsen, Medea is a location performance about the search for the meaning of existence. Just because we are alive does not mean that we are actually aware of our right to exist. What if your rights are determined by your gender and origin? In Medea, all the characters search for their place in life, sometimes leading to a more honourable existence in death.
MEDEA was performed from May 25 to June 4, 2017 in Weesp.
